Richmond, VA May 27, 2004 – Sales, marketing, and auction guru Steve Van Gordon, has joined the Tranzon, LLC team as an Executive Vice President, working under the Tranzon Northwest banner.

Van Gordon's mission is to leverage Tranzon's national resources and expertise to establish Tranzon in the Pacific Northwest as a leader in auction marketing. "I have watched Tranzon's real estate auction marketing strategy—combining local market knowledge with national resources—succeed all around the country. I am excited to have the opportunity to bring that winning strategy to the Oregon marketplace," Van Gordon said.

Van Gordon is the President of Team Van Gordon Auctioneers, Inc., an auction company that conducts 120 auctions a year, operating out of a 13,500 sq. foot auction facility on five acres located just south of Canby in Barlow, Oregon. Van Gordon has conducted real estate auctions for lending institutions, attorneys, estates, the Small Business Administration, the Oregon Division of State Lands, and private sellers. In addition, biweekly auctions in Aurora sell over 6,000 cars a year and other personal property.

Highlights of Van Gordon's career include: two terms as president of the Oregon Auctioneers Association, past member of the National Auctioneers Association's Board of Directors, and designations including Certified Auctioneer Institute, Graduate Personal Property Appraiser, and Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate. The vice president of the Canby Rotary Club, Van Gordon also donates his auctioning capabilities to various charitable organizations benefiting athletics, restorations, fishing and St. Jude's Children's Hospital. In his spare time he enjoys salmon fishing, exploring Oregon and driving his new hot rod.
